Join us for a heart centered prenatal yoga series at Joyful Sounds. This prenatal yoga class is designed to create space to connect more with your mind, body and baby during this time of growth and change. The goal of each session is to enhance your own comfort, and confidence through the practice of intentional movement, breathing techniques, and meditation, while finding meaningful connections with a community who share a similar phase of life. Beginners to yoga are welcome and supported!
The classes will start with a simple foundation of asana (postures) and pranayama (breathwork) with meditation then slowly grow the yoga practice as participants feel ready, preparing mind and body for strength and endurance. Space is limited, please sign up in advance to reserve your spot.
What to Expect:
Each prenatal yoga class at Joyful Sounds will be 75 minutes. These small group classes of 10 people, give each yogi careful support and attention. Wear your comfiest clothes, bring your water and snack, and a yoga mat if you have one. Yoga props will be provided, and some yoga mats are available upon request. This is a chill, laid back setting, but we do ask to turn off or silence phones and give yourself 10 extra minutes to arrive to set up your yoga space as comfortable as possible for yourself and others.
Postpartum is a lifetime journey, so this postnatal yoga class is open to anyone who would like to work on their core strength, flexibility, stamina and to spend some quality time for oneself! This one hour yoga class is designed to simply connect with the mind, body and spirit while learning more about the core anatomy and core posture functions. This yoga practice is also dedicated to finding more ways to relieve stress through restorative movement, affirmative meditations and cleansing breathing techniques. No previous yoga experience required.
*Every body, every journey is so different, listen to your body and come to yoga when you are feeling ready
This 1 - 5 kiddos yoga class is a fun, simple yoga introduction for younger kids. This class will incorporate movements such as dancing, playing and stretching. The main goal is to learn classic animal yoga poses while matching animal noises. This is a playful way for kids to learn and find their way to the yoga mat.
In this class, parent/caregiver will accompany their child onto the mat to join us for yoga during this 1 hour session. It will be a great opportunity to find the inner child while bonding with yours.
Space is limited.
